:: About me

My name is Francesco Hofer and I am an ambitious, 31 years engineer.

I studied at Politecnico of Milan and on December 2010 I got a Master degree presenting an innovative thesis after working in the R&D team of STMicroelectronics in Agrate Brianza. During my thesis I developed a unique algorithm for the localization of domestic robotic systems based on MEMS gyroscopes and magnetometers (i.e. the motion sensors inside all newest electronic devices).

After graduation, I worked as capacity planner analyst for Moviri, a multinational IT consulting company. Here I enhanced data analysis and software development skills, gaining at the same time organizational and communicational skills through a direct contact with major U.S. and European customers in telecommunications, oil, finance, etc..

On April 2010 I won a Diversity Immigrant Visa also known as "Green Card" and I moved to the shining and warm Miami looking for new career opportunities following the "well known" american dream. In January 2012 I joined Navizon Inc., pioner and leader of geo-location technogies.

On July 2015 I moved back to Italy keeping my cooperation with Accuware Inc. (Navizon Inc. spinoff) for the deployment of indoor geo-location systems in retail, hospitality, event marketing, digital marketing, museums, hospitals, security markets!

Among my passions there is photography,video editing, movies, e-commerce, sports and DIY.

Resume/CV

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing."
